Just got the new issue of High Country Angler.  I think I know that guy smiling on the front cover.  Congratulations Jon.

Front cover!?!  Son of a gun!  I'm glad I was there for that trip!  I like trickery!  Good thinking.

Thanks! And yeah Carp, that day was so much fun! Should have done what you did and camped out. Oh well, next year we'll do it again and hopefully hit it at the right time again!

Jon what about skinning/snowshoeing up there the week prior? That place was a zoo.

Mike was there the week before us and the lakes were around 95% covered still. Pretty sure another friend was up there the week after, or maybe two weeks after, and got skunked and talked to a handful of other guys that were there and no one was catching anything. I think we got lucky, what a difference a week makes!

Oh so true on the timing. Timing, a week to early and to much ice/snow. A few weeks late and the dang fish thinking more about other things than eating and oh so picky. Always good to have a Plan B and sometimes Plan C if daylight provides the time. Know there have been times I have burned through all of them and finally Plan D paid off. This stuff can be so maddening at times, ha.  :)

Once again Kudos Jon.
